What is the Tiger Direct Preferred Account?

The Tiger Direct Preferred Account is offered through Comenity Capital Bank. It is a credit card account that gives you special savings, financing and other exclusive benefits to reward you for being a loyal Tiger Direct customer. You'll also receive a dedicated credit line so you can buy the Tiger Direct products you need.

Why should I use my Tiger Direct Preferred Account?

With your Tiger Direct Preferred Account, you can get special financing throughout the year on hundreds of items at Tiger Direct.

What is my credit limit?

Your credit limit is based on the credit information provided to us at the time of your application. The credit we extend to you can also be affected by how you maintain the account with us.

Do I need to pay my balance in full every month?

No, you'll have the option of paying your balance in full or over time. Monthly payments are the greater of 3% of your total statement balance or $35.

Can I send a money order as payment?
Yes, you can send a money order as long as your account number is referenced on it. Your account number can be located on your statement. Please do not send payments to the merchant where you made a purchase.

Can I pay with a credit card?
At this time, we do not accept credit cards for payments.

Can I send cash as a payment?
No, we do not accept cash payments.

Can I pay using my bank's online bill pay service?
Yes you can. You should follow the process defined on your bank's website.

Can I pay my bill online?

Absolutely! You will receive your first bill in the mail. But, you can sign up to receive future bills electronically. Locate the "Register Account" link on the homepage. Then, simply agree to the Tiger Direct Preferred Account Pay Online Terms and Conditions. Next, just login and select "Payment Center". You can pay your Tiger Direct Preferred Account account online using either a checking or savings account.

What forms of electronic payment are accepted?

You can pay your Tiger Direct Preferred Account account online using either a checking or savings account. We do not accept credit cards.

When will my online payment post?

Payments submitted by 5 p.m. Eastern Time (ET) will post to your account that day. Otherwise, your payment will post the following day. Please note that although we do not process payments on Saturdays or Federal holidays, you will receive credit for making a payment on those days.

How do I review my electronic payment history or change a pending payment?

To review your online payment history and status of payments, login and select "Payment Center > View Payment History".

How do I change my checking/savings account information?

Login to your account and select "Manage Account > Add or Modify Bank Account".

General Billing Questions
When and how will I get my first bill?

Immediately following your first online purchase, you should receive an email from Tiger Direct Preferred Account. (If you did not receive this email, you may need to update your email spam filter to accept emails from Tiger Direct Preferred Account). This welcome email includes useful information on your account. Approximately 10-14 days after your purchase ships from the merchant or your travel is ticketed, you will receive a bill in the mail which will include additional information on Tiger Direct Preferred Account as well as your balance and payment due date.

My statement doesn’t list what I purchase, just the merchant. Where can I get more details?

You will need to contact the merchant to get the details on the items purchased.

I need to return a purchase. How long will it take for the purchase to be credited to my Tiger Direct Preferred Account account?

Each merchant has a different policy regarding the length of time it takes to process a credit, but federal law requires that the credit must be processed by the merchant within 7 days. Tiger Direct Preferred Account then must credit your account no later than 3 days after receiving the credit notification from your merchant.

Does Tiger Direct Preferred Account protect me from unauthorized charges?

Yes, Tiger Direct Preferred Account provides "zero fraud liability" protection; the same protection provided by most major credit cards. This means you are not responsible for unauthorized charges. And Tiger Direct Preferred Account has been designed with other features to help protect against unauthorized use of your account. Your identity is validated with top-of-mind information such as date of birth and the last four digits of your Social Security Number. This means you never need to enter an account number, which could be lost or stolen, to make a purchase.

I have not received my bill yet. Could there be a problem?

If you are expecting a Billing Statement and have not received it, there could be a problem with the billing address we have on file. Please login and select "Manage Account" to view or change your address.

It is also possible that your Billing Statement may not have been created yet. To verify that you have a statement, login and select "Financial Summary" to view a copy of your Billing Statement online.

Can I get my bill electronically?

Absolutely! You will receive your first bill in the mail. But, you can sign up to receive future bills electronically. Locate the "Register Account" link on the homepage. Then, simply agree to the Tiger Direct Preferred Account Pay Online Terms and Conditions. Next, just login and select "Payment Center". You can pay your Tiger Direct Preferred Account account online using either a checking or savings account.

How can I stop receiving a paper Billing Statement?

Tiger Direct Preferred Account offers paperless billing (Electronic Billing). To select this option, login and select "Manage Account > Statement and Disclosure Delivery Preferences". You will be notified by email each time you have a new statement available. You can change your preference at any time by returning to the Statement Preferences menu.

I selected the Electronic Billing service but I am still receiving paper statements. What should I do?

It takes one or two billing cycles for your change to take effect. Also, if we are unable to notify you that your Billing Statement is available online because of a problem with your email address, we will mail a copy of your Billing Statement to your postal address.

Can I add another user to my account?

This option is not currently available.

Do I have a credit line and how much is it?

Tiger Direct Preferred Account does issue a credit line. You current credit line can be found on your most recent online statement.

I am having problems registering or accessing my account online. What could be the problem?

Your User ID and Password for this site can be different than they are for a merchant site where you shopped. This site requires its own registration to establish your User ID and password.

Important Note:

If someone has repeatedly attempted to log in using the wrong Password or Question and Answer, our system will lock the account in order to protect you from unauthorized access to your account. If this happens, or you have any other problems accessing your account, please call us at 800-204-5027.

How do I change my User ID, Password or Secret Question and Answer?

To change your Password or secret question and answer, login and select "Manage Account > Change Password or Change Security Question". To change your User ID, you must call Customer Care at 800-204-5027 (7 days a week, 9am - 11pm EST).

How do I opt out of receiving unsolicited marketing materials?

You can opt out of receiving promotional email by updating your preferences on the "Change Contact Information" page. Login and select "Manage Account > Change Contact Information". If you want to opt out of other marketing programs such as direct mail or telemarketing call us at 800-204-5027.

Can I close my account online?

Why do I have two accounts?

In rare cases, our system may assign a second account to you. This generally happens if you use different personal information when shopping at multiple online retailers. Please contact us and we will correct the account information.

We support the following Internet browsers: Internet Explorer 7.0 and higher, Firefox 3 and higher, Chrome 6 and higher, and Safari 5 and higher.

Extended Payment Terms and Promotional Financing Offers
What types of extended payment terms and promotional financing options are available with Tiger Direct Preferred Account?

There are two types of options that you may see, depending on what the merchant is offering.

1) "No Payments Until" deferred interest programs. With this option, no payments are due before the promotion expiration date and interest is deferred during the promotional period. If you pay your balance in full by the promotion expiration date, you do not have to pay any interest. If you do not pay your balance in full within the promotional period, interest will be billed from the date of the purchase.

2) "No Interest if Paid In Full" deferred interest programs. With this option, you are required to make the minimum monthly payment, as described in your billing statement and interest is deferred during the promotional period. If you pay your balance in full by the promotion expiration date, you do not have to pay any accrued interest. If you do not pay your balance in full within the promotional period, interest will be billed from the date of the purchase.

I made a "No Payments for 6 Months" purchase where no payment is supposed to be due for 6 Months. My first bill says its due in 25 days. Please explain.

If you have a Deferred Payment purchase such as No Payments for 6 or 12 months you will still receive Billing Statements each month. A payment due date will still appear on each bill but you do not need to make any payments unless your minimum payment due is greater than $0. Of course, you can choose to make payments at any time.

I used a "No Payments for 6 Months" or "No Interest for 6 Months" promotion. What happens if I don't pay in full by the end of the promotional period?

During the promotional period, interest will accrue. If you do not pay in full by the end of the promotional period, the accrued interest will be added to the remaining balance due. However, if you do pay in full by the promotion end date, you will not have to pay any interest. This is different than the Take 60 and Take 90 extended grace periods which do not accrue interest during the extended grace period.
